Digitally transforming an Education Provider’s core value chain.

CorbettPrice was engaged by an education provider to facilitate the implementation of a new student management system (SMS) and curriculum management system (CurMS) as part of their new strategic program. The goal of this project was to unify all divisions of the organisation and provide a consistent learner experience.

Our Process

The CorbettPrice team began by conducting a detailed desktop review of existing policy, procedure, and process documentation. This allowed them to gain a foundational understanding of the current processes, including which tasks were performed by which people and which system touchpoints could be improved.

The team then facilitated more than 15 workshops across eight processes. These workshops brought together stakeholders from across the organization to discuss and agree on the new processes that would be supported by the SMS and CurMS. The team also engaged with ~126 stakeholders through one-on-one meetings and group workshops.

In addition to facilitating workshops, the CorbettPrice team provided guidance on project governance and structures, and documented risks, decisions, and issues rigorously.

The Results

As a result of the project, CorbettPrice was able to:

  • Support the successful rollout of the SMS for the first set of pilot courses

  • Identify important strategic opportunities to restructure process approach at a high level for more accuracy and efficiency

  • Establish relevant templates and tools to streamline processes and workflows

  • Contribute to more effective ways of working and collaboration across project teams

  • Build internal team capability by working closely with relevant staff
